Last Friday, the whole of Year 6 went to β€˜Crucial Crew’ in Billingham. β€˜Crucial Crew’ is a multi-agency safety event for children aged 10-11 years old.

Whilst it was a lot of fun and an exciting event, the serious messages about personal safety and dealing with emergencies were strongly conveyed.

During the visit we were given lots of useful advice and information from Stockton Police, SBC Road Safety Team, RNLI, Cleveland Fire Brigade, Northern Gas Networks, Northern Electric and The Anti-Social Behaviour Team.

We learned a lot about how to keep ourselves and others safe…

  • River and beach safety
  • Dangers associated with electricity
  • Firework and bonfire safety & What to do in the event of a bedroom fire
  • Keeping safe on the internet
  • Staying safe on our bikes

We would like to thank all those involved for giving us such important advice in a fun way!
