Welcome from the Headteacher

Our vision is for St. Patrick’s to be a place of joy, justice and peace, where everyone is welcomed, loved and forgiven. We will be a school where we learn and grow, following in the footsteps of Jesus.

At St. Patrick’s, our mission is to help build and be the Kingdom of God. We believe that The Kingdom is all around us and grows in each and every person. To build God’s Kingdom, we bring joy, justice and peace to our world.

Every person brings The Fruits of the Holy Spirit with them:

Love, Joy, Peace, Patience, Kindness, Generosity, Faithfulness, Gentleness and Self-control.

As a Catholic school, it is our mission to nurture these fruits within everyone, enabling God’s Kingdom to flourish and grow.

We strive to provide the best quality of education. Through the example and teachings of Jesus, we celebrate our friendship with God and help each other to follow in His way. We aim to develop Catholic values through prayer, learning and citizenship toward the Church and world community.

We work hard using our God given talents for the good of other people and to achieve our best. In our school community, we show respect to every person. Together with our families, our parish and our local community we strive to create a safe, happy school and become confident, caring citizens.

If you already have a child with us, we are delighted to strengthen links between us. The staff work hard to provide a stimulating environment and to enable the children to fulfil their potential. We recognise that as parents you are your child’s first educators and we encourage you to share in the life of the school, to help to provide a happy, caring atmosphere in which the children will feel secure and nurtured. It is important that mutual understanding and trust should be the basis of our shared responsibility.

Ofsted inspectors commented that “Pupils flourish at this inspirational school”. We couldn’t agree more with them!

At St.Patrick’s, we want to make Christ known and loved to our pupils and their families through the provision of excellent Catholic education as they find Christ in their daily lives. We then want them to share this encounter with the people that they meet. By doing this we are growing God’s Kingdom builders!

Gardening club picked their own apples from our apple trees, washed them, peeled them, chopped them and made them into a delicious apple crumble to enjoy at home!
