From September 2020 we have had to adjust meal services due to COVID19. All children in Reception, Year 1 and 2 are entitled to a free school meal and will be served a hot meal in the school hall at staggered times. (Classes 1,2,3,4,5 and 6)
Children in Key Stage 2 who would like to pay for a school meal, or who are entitled to a free school meal, will be provided with a packed meal, prepared in our school kitchen.
If you would prefer to send your child to school with a packed lunch then you are welcome to do so.
Children in Class 6 upwards will eat their lunch in their classrooms, or weather permitting, will take turns in using our outdoor seating area. They will have staggered times playing outdoors.
Here is our menu cycle for the autumn term:

School Lunch Bands

Since its introduction, the School Lunch Band system has proved to be a great success. This system enables pupils to choose their meal at the start of each day, which not only ensures each child will receive their exact chosen meal, but also cuts down of amount food waste in the school kitchen. Children are given a choice of menu first thing in the morning after registration and a colour coded wristband is issued to them. Kitchen staff then know exactly how many of each hot or cold meal to prepare.

Parents can now feel confident that their child will be specifically catered for, and no longer will a child be disappointed that their favourite meal is no longer available before they get to the lunch hall.

If parents have any queries about their child’s school lunch or their specific dietary requirements, they can always speak to Mrs. Jan Williams, the School Kitchen Supervisor, who will be available in the kitchen at the start of each school day.
