The Little Big Assembly. Celebrating with other schools from around the diocese.

Football Fun- at the Diocesan Football Cup in York.

Our Dear friend Paddy Cronesberry OBE showing us the Olympic Torch.

This week saw the last part of our Easter Liturgies being performed by the children of Class 4 and Class 3 in front of the rest of the school in the hall. The performance was made even more special by it culminating with the annual event of the decorating of the Easter Cross.

Every year each child in the school brings fresh flowers from home and one by one they place their flowers upon the bare cross until gradually it is brought to life by with the colour and beauty of the blooms, just as Our Lord came back to life in the Resurrection on Easter Sunday.

The finished Easter Cross is always spectacular and parents love to see for themselves this very moving and spiritual end to our Easter celebrations.

We also had the pleasure of celebrating some dear friends of the school who on Easter Saturday entered into the Catholic Faith.

Baptised during the Easter Vigil was: Vicki Campbell and her two children, Mia and Grace. Also, the children’s aunt, Alice Crone.

Received into Full Communion with the Church and Confirmed, where: Lyndsey Brown and her daughter, Emily. Amanda Hanrahan and our very own Lunchtime Supervisor and Lollipop Lady, Donna Porteous.

We give thanks for this special time in their lives and also for a very happy and holy Easter that was had by all.
